Hey there. I’m Jake Currie, two-time winner of the Vice Presidential fitness award. I’m also a Brooklyn-based writer and creative who specializes in comedy, politics, video, and creating things that hopefully make the Internet a better place.
I’ve done work for Someecards and Distractify and co-founded the Shorty-Award-nominated TL;DR Wikipedia on the side. Before that I worked for a speechwriting firm, co-wrote and co-produced a series of animated shorts for FOX Studios’ Inkubation program, co-wrote a script for a political comedy that was a finalist in the New York Television Festival’s Comedy Script Contest, and even wrote a joke for the President of the United States.
I grew up in Virginia, studied Biology and Government at the College of William & Mary, and earned a master’s degree in Political Communications from Johns Hopkins University.
